About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Slitter Operator for our 2nd shift team in Smithfield, RI. In this role, you will apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to work order specifications. You will be responsible for setting up and operating slitting machines, inspecting materials, and ensuring that all products meet strict quality standards.
This position is ideal for someone with a mechanical background and strong math skills who enjoys operating material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts. You will work closely with sales representatives to clarify order adjustments and provide feedback on machine efficiency. While prior supervisory experience is a plus, the primary focus is on your ability to maintain processing equipment in a safe and clean condition and to complete all required information entry accurately.
