The Role
As an Assembly Specialist, you will be the backbone of the production team, ensuring that complex mechanical components meet rigorous safety and specification standards. Your day will involve interpreting intricate blueprints and technical drawings to guide the assembly of rotating equipment. You will collaborate closely with engineering, quality control, and material control teams to resolve deviations and maintain workflow efficiency.
Beyond assembly, you will be responsible for inventory management, part staging, and the safe handling of heavy components using forklifts, cranes, and rigging equipment. The role demands precision in performing alignments, measurements, and machining adjustments to tight tolerances. You will also play a key role in mentoring less experienced technicians, maintaining organized workspaces, and documenting all operational data to ensure full traceability and compliance.
Work Environment
This is a safety-sensitive manufacturing role located in Houston (77095). You will work in a dynamic industrial setting exposed to noise, heat, oil, grease, and vibrations. The environment includes elevated work surfaces and confined spaces, requiring strict adherence to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
