This position serves as a critical backbone for our production facility, ensuring the continuous operation of machinery, equipment, and the physical plant infrastructure. You will be responsible for a broad spectrum of maintenance and repair duties, ranging from complex mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to essential building systems like plumbing and HVAC. The role exists to minimize downtime, uphold rigorous safety standards, and maintain the highest quality of our manufacturing environment.
In this role, you will act as a versatile problem-solver, diagnosing issues in motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and control circuits. Your day-to-day involves dismantling equipment to replace defective parts, calibrating machinery, and performing electrical installations and repairs in compliance with code. Beyond the production floor, you may engage in construction and remodeling tasks, such as welding fixtures, pouring concrete, or repairing building structures. You will also collaborate closely with operators to identify potential failures before they occur, ensuring a proactive approach to maintenance.
The work environment is dynamic and physically demanding, often requiring you to work in varying temperatures, high-noise areas, and at elevated heights. You will utilize a wide array of tools, from precision measuring instruments to heavy machinery like forklifts and aerial lifts. Safety is paramount; you will be expected to adhere strictly to 5S standards, wear designated personal protective equipment, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Candidates selected for this role will be required to complete specific training and certification programs within the first 90 to 12 months of employment, including Traulsen/OSHA certifications for powered equipment. The selection process includes a review of technical qualifications and a background check for the "Authorized Driver" program, which may involve random drug testing and an annual DMV check.
