This New Hire Utility position serves as the foundation for a career in tube mill and extrusion operations. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleLearn to operate tube mill and extrusion equipment following safety and quality procedures
- check_circleSupport machine operators by moving materials on and off equipment using proper lifting techniques
- check_circleHandle aluminum products through loading, unloading, staging, and transferring between work areas
- check_circlePerform machine operation tasks including starting, stopping, monitoring, and adjusting press equipment
- check_circleConduct visual inspections and quality checks to ensure products meet established specifications
- check_circleComplete packing and packaging duties while maintaining accurate inventory and shipment counts
- check_circleReport unusual conditions, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors in a timely manner
- check_circleOperate forklifts and material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished goods
- check_circleUse hand tools and measuring devices to verify dimensions and support machine setup
- check_circleDocument production, quality, and operational information accurately using verbal and written communication
Requirements

Nice to Have
Previous experience operating forklifts or other motorized material handling equipment. Prior experience in a heavy manufacturing environment involving grease, oil, hydraulic fluids, and lubricated machinery. Familiarity with extrusion, tube mill, or metals manufacturing processes. Experience working under union guidelines or in a unionized facility.
