About the Role
As a Forklift Operator and Warehouse Material Handler on our 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM), you will play a critical role in our daily workflow. This is a safety-sensitive position where your expertise in operating heavy machinery and managing material flow directly impacts our ability to meet customer demands.
In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end movement of metal products. Your day involves safely loading and unloading trucks using cranes, forklifts, and side loaders, as well as retrieving inventory based on specific work instructions. You will verify the accuracy of materials by measuring and comparing product tags against work orders, ensuring that what leaves our facility matches exactly what was ordered.
Beyond moving goods, you will prepare orders for shipment via common carriers, UPS, or customer pick-up. This includes constructing skids, wrapping products, and performing final visual inspections. You will also inspect inbound materials using precision tools like calipers and tape measures, reporting any discrepancies or defects immediately. Success in this role requires a strong commitment to safety protocols, basic arithmetic skills for conversions, and the physical ability to handle materials weighing up to 70 lbs.
