This position serves as a vital support within our physical and occupational therapy departments, providing essential patient care under the direct supervision of licensed Physical or Occupational Therapists. The role exists to ensure that every patient receives consistent, high-quality therapeutic interventions that align with their individualized plan of care, bridging the gap between clinical assessment and daily treatment execution.
In this role, you will be the face of our therapy team for many patients, collaborating closely with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Your day involves performing specific therapeutic procedures, educating patients and families on their recovery journeys, and maintaining rigorous documentation standards. Beyond direct patient interaction, you will contribute to the department's growth by mentoring students and new employees, participating in performance improvement initiatives, and assisting with staff training and clinical service development.
At DCH Health System, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of performance, patient satisfaction, and financial responsibility. We foster a culture built on positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, adhering strictly to our Behavioral Standards and the Employee Handbook. Success in this role requires a cooperative attitude, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to reliability and responsibility.
You will be expected to utilize our electronic systems for documentation, time tracking, and learning management, while ensuring full compliance with all DCH Health System policies and procedures. We value team members who actively share their experience, attend departmental meetings, and provide constructive feedback to management to help drive continuous improvement.
This is an onsite position where physical presence is essential. The work environment involves a dynamic mix of prolonged sitting and standing, as well as significant physical activity including pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and climbing.
