About the Role
As an LPN - Clinical II (MEDS) in our Kailua-Kona outpatient clinic, you will provide essential direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and medical orders. This role is pivotal in ensuring the continuity of care for our diverse patient population, managing everything from routine immunizations to acute care needs.
You will serve as a key resource for unlicensed personnel, offering clear directions and training on emergency vaccine storage procedures. A significant portion of your day involves managing patient immunization data, including updating the Hawaii Immunization Registry System (HIR) and maintaining strict compliance with Health Plan and VFC (Vaccines for Children) guidelines. You will act as a liaison with the state to coordinate inventory, generate compliance reports, and ensure all clinic operations meet federal and state standards.
Beyond clinical duties, you will collaborate with RNs and practitioners to revise care plans, provide patient education, and ensure culturally sensitive care is delivered to all age groups. Your work ensures that patients receive timely instructions, follow-up on referrals, and that their medical records are accurately documented according to JCAHO standards.

Requirements
