As an LPN - Clinical I (MEDS) in our Kailua-Kona outpatient clinic, you will provide essential direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and medical orders. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless delivery of patient care, with a specialized focus on immunization management and clinic operations.
You will serve as a vital resource and mentor to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed personnel, guiding them through emergency vaccine storage procedures and departmental standards. Your day involves a dynamic blend of clinical duties and administrative coordination, from reviewing medical records and administering treatments to managing the Hawaii Immunization Registry System (HIR) and maintaining strict inventory control for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with RNs and practitioners to revise care plans, ensure infection control compliance, and facilitate patient education. Whether handling acute care situations, coordinating referrals, or training new team members, you will be the backbone of our clinic's efficiency and patient safety.
