About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and provide direct nursing care to our residents. In this role, you will supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants, ensuring all care aligns with current Federal, State, and Local standards. Your mission is to maintain the highest degree of quality care at all times while fostering an atmosphere of teamwork, hospitality, and comfort for our residents.

Day in the Life

You will manage 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a), serving as the bridge between the nursing staff, physicians, and residents. Your day involves directing the functions of nursing assistants, verifying compliance with facility policies, and planning shift services. You will be responsible for comprehensive charting and documentation, including transcribing physician orders, recording nurses' notes, and managing medication administration with strict adherence to safety protocols.

Beyond clinical duties, you will administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feedings, and wound care. You will monitor the physical and emotional status of residents, respond promptly to call lights, and collaborate with physicians regarding treatment plans and changes in resident conditions. A key part of your role is ensuring the safety and dignity of our residents by protecting them from neglect and maintaining the confidentiality of their records.
