A Long-Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a critical role in providing daily care to elderly or disabled residents in a long-term care facility. Working under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) or licensed practical nurses (LPNs), you are responsible for assisting with personal care, daily activities, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
Your day involves more than just clinical tasks; it is about providing companionship and emotional support to ensure the well-being of those in your care. You will assist residents with eating, grooming, and hygiene, while also monitoring their health and reporting any significant changes to the nursing team. By maintaining accurate records and following strict infection control protocols, you help create a clean, hazard-free environment where residents can thrive.
