This position serves as the vital link ensuring freight moves seamlessly from its origin to its final destination. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will exercise independent judgment to book appropriate carriers, negotiate rates, and resolve complex "problem" loads. Your day-to-day involves managing transportation arrangements from pre-pickup through delivery, requiring constant communication with shippers, carriers, and internal team members.
You will be expected to build and maintain strong carrier relationships while servicing the company's customer base. The role demands urgency in addressing issues such as claims, detention, overages/shortages (OS&D), layovers, and breakdowns. Additionally, you will function as a key resource on the RE Garrison Answers brokerage phone line, directing calls appropriately and providing support when the primary contact is unavailable.
All Logistics Coordinators operate as a unified team, sharing responsibility for any freight available on the brokerage board. The culture is driven by a "Get The Job Done" mentality, where team members are expected to stay as late as necessary to achieve required results and ensure customer satisfaction.
Interested candidates should submit their resume and cover letter highlighting their experience in logistics, supply chain management, or business-related fields. Prior customer service experience and knowledge of the trucking industry are highly valued.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
