The Logistics Associate I is a vital member of the operations team, dedicated to meeting delivery and kitting requirements while ensuring the safe and efficient flow of inventory. This role exists to bridge the gap between receiving and customer delivery, requiring a blend of independent initiative and collaborative teamwork.
You will be the face of operational excellence on the floor, responsible for receiving, storing, handling, and shipping products. Your day involves moving materials between areas using carts, tuggers, and forklifts, staging parts for shipment, and maintaining strict kitting processes to satisfy customer needs. Beyond the physical tasks, you are expected to model the company's mission and core values daily, collaborating with internal and external resources to achieve manufacturing goals.
This position operates on a unique schedule, working Friday through Sunday from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Success in this role requires a commitment to ongoing self-development and the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads and customer needs.
You will work in a dynamic environment that includes both enclosed and open spaces, often around moving equipment and high-speed rotating machinery. The role involves exposure to various elements such as welding flashes, loud noise, dust, steam, and small quantities of chemicals. Safety is paramount; you must consistently wear proper protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety policies, reporting any near misses or incidents immediately.
The physical nature of the job requires significant stamina, including standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs. You will frequently react to visual and auditory signals, including alarms, and must possess the manual dexterity to grasp and assemble small objects with precision.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least one year of experience operating various sizes of forklifts. Prior experience with Material Tracking Systems (MTS) is preferred.
