The Purchasing Agent serves as a critical operational partner, coordinating the end-to-end flow of materials, parts, and services to support site maintenance and facility operations. This role ensures that the organization maintains accurate documentation, achieves on-time deliveries, and adheres to strict safety and regulatory compliance standards. From sourcing new vendors to managing complex inventory systems, the position is designed to keep the site running smoothly and efficiently.
Your work will span both the digital and physical aspects of facility management. You will research material needs, secure competitive quotes, and manage purchase orders within systems like BuildOps, Sage, or Maximo. A significant portion of your day involves tracking orders, expediting back orders, and communicating updates to the Project Management Facilitator and Shift Foreman.
You will also be hands-on in the stockroom, verifying deliveries, labeling items, and maintaining organized storage across various areas including garages, boiler rooms, and tool rooms. The role requires active participation in the Belt/Filter program, conducting periodic walkthrough counts, and ensuring critical supplies are always in stock. While much of the work is performed in a warehouse office setting using computers and communication tools, the position also involves physical tasks such as operating a forklift, lifting materials, and working in mechanical rooms.
Candidates interested in this opportunity should apply via the U.S. Engineering careers portal at usengineering.com. The position will remain open until May 26, 2026.
