McLaren Northern Michigan, a top-tier health system located in Petoskey, MI, is seeking a Certified Hospitalist Physician Assistant to fill a critical recruitment gap. This role serves as a Nocturnist, providing essential coverage for the inpatient service during nighttime hours.
The position covers a specific period from June 9, 2026, through January 1, 2027. The schedule follows a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation, with 12-hour shifts running from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The primary focus is on adult inpatient care, excluding ICU and CCU units. The team operates with support from APP coverage and a Nocturnist Physician, utilizing the Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Providers must use DocTime to clock in and out as of July 1. Malpractice costs are included in the rates, and orientation is compensated at half of the hourly rate. Please note that lodging booked through third-party websites (e.g., Expedia, Kayak) is not reimbursed, as McLaren is tax-exempt and does not reimburse taxes on lodging. Expenses covered by the client will adhere to the limitations listed in the Travel and Expense policy between McLaren Health Care and AHSA.
