The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is the largest department within the John Sealy School of Medicine. The Division of Hematology/Oncology is seeking a board-certified physician to join a growing team serving Southeast Texas through UTMB's multi-campus health system. This role offers a vibrant, integrated environment where faculty members provide comprehensive adult hematology and oncology care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The position is designed for individuals who wish to balance clinical practice with teaching, mentoring, and scholarly activities aligned with the division's strategic priorities.
Faculty members will participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, support infusion and inpatient oncology services, and engage in clinical trials and quality improvement initiatives. The role offers competitive opportunities for clinical, translational, and collaborative research, as well as academic leadership and community outreach. Responsibilities are tailored to individual expertise and appointment track, allowing for flexibility to emphasize clinical, educational, or research missions.
