Barton Associates is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 53-day assignment in Alaska, starting August 13, 2026. This role is designed to support a village clinic that serves as the sole medical facility for the community. The position operates in a fast-paced environment where the scope of care varies by season, requiring adaptability and clinical independence.
As the sole provider in the clinic, you will manage a wide variety of standard family medicine cases, ranging from acute illnesses like colds, coughs, and flu to chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and substance abuse. The schedule runs from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with additional weekend and weeknight on-call coverage to ensure continuous patient care. You will utilize the Cerner EMR system to assess patients and provide comprehensive care, referring serious cases to higher levels of care when necessary.
