About the Role
We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (or Adult/Geriatric NP or Physician Assistant) to join our team in Lansing, MI, for a short-term contract. This position offers a unique opportunity to deliver essential home health services, conducting in-home health and wellness assessments for health insurance plans.
In this role, you will perform comprehensive H&P evaluations, reviewing medications and dosages while conducting physical exams. Your day-to-day activities will include checking blood pressure, performing finger sticks, collecting urine samples, and arranging for patients to mail in fecal kits. You will typically manage 5 to 8 assessments daily, with each appointment lasting approximately 45 to 75 minutes. The role focuses primarily on geriatric patients and utilizes a proprietary EMR system where all documentation is completed via iPad.
