WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join a high-performing team at a respected hospital in Paramus, NJ. This 13-week local contract role focuses on supporting providers throughout the childbirth process in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal clinician is confident in fetal monitoring, labor management, and emergency response. You will spend your days assessing and categorizing patients into the appropriate level of care, applying and interpreting external fetal monitoring (including fetal heart tracings and uterine activity), and implementing timely interventions based on fetal heart rate patterns and maternal conditions. A key part of your day involves identifying and responding to obstetric emergencies by escalating to providers as needed, administering medications safely, and performing pain assessments per clinical guidelines. You will also assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care.
