WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join a high-performing team at a respected hospital in Mount Holly, New Jersey. This 13-week local contract role focuses on supporting providers throughout the childbirth process in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal clinician will be confident in fetal monitoring, labor management, and emergency response. You will assess and categorize patients into the appropriate level of care, applying and interpreting external fetal monitoring, including fetal heart tracings and uterine activity. Your day will involve implementing timely interventions based on fetal heart rate patterns and maternal conditions, as well as identifying and responding to obstetric emergencies by escalating to providers appropriately.
You will administer medications safely in accordance with the Five Rights and infection-control standards, perform pain assessments per clinical guidelines, and assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care. This position requires a 36-hour work week consisting of three 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a), with floating within the hospital system as needed.
