About the Role
Prodware Solutions LLC is seeking a local contract Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in New York, New York. This role is designed to provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period.
In this position, you will partner with physicians, certified nurse midwives, and obstetric teams to ensure safe, high-quality maternal and neonatal care. Your day-to-day responsibilities include assessing and monitoring maternal and fetal status, performing fetal heart rate monitoring, and recognizing signs of distress. You will administer prescribed medications and IV fluids, assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and manage obstetric emergencies such as postpartum hemorrhage or fetal distress.
Beyond clinical duties, you will play a vital role in patient education, supporting families through labor processes, pain management options, and postpartum care. You will also be responsible for newborn stabilization, preparing patients and equipment for procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements
- verifiedActive Registered Nurse (RN) license
- verifiedCurrent BLS certification
- verifiedACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certification preferred or required per facility
- verifiedExperience in Labor & Delivery, Women's Health, or Obstetric Nursing preferred
Nice to Have
