Opportunity Resource Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing loans to create equitable, economic, and sustainable opportunities throughout Michigan. Our vision is to see homes providing shelter for generations of families, successful small businesses creating jobs, and vibrant community facilities. We operate on the belief that every person deserves the chance to build a stable future—one person, one job, one home at a time.
As a Loan Closing and Servicing Specialist, you will be the guardian of our mission's execution. Your work ensures that every mortgage loan closing is prepared with a high level of accuracy and delivered within established timeframes. This role is more than just data entry; it is about supporting families and businesses in Michigan by navigating the complexities of Fannie Mae, HUD, FHA, and MSHDA loans with precision.
In this hybrid position, you will split your time between our Grand Rapids, Lansing, or Detroit offices and remote work. You will be responsible for pre-closing and pre-funding audit activities, including collecting and transferring data into our core system (NLS), performing quality control file reviews, and handling supplemental servicing activities. You will ensure strict compliance with all state and federal guidelines, acting as a bridge between our financial operations and the diverse communities we serve.
Candidates must pass a comprehensive background check as part of the application process. Please refer to the full job description for additional position information regarding specific application steps.
Opportunity Resource Fund is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, creed, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, disability, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, or service in the military. We believe in serving a diverse population with compassion and ethics. To ensure equal opportunity for qualified individuals with disabilities, we will make reasonable accommodations unless doing so would result in an undue hardship on the operation of the business.
