About Blossoming Lotus Café & Juice Bar
Blossoming Lotus is a plant-based café and juice bar located inside Root Whole Body in NW Portland. We operate with a distinct sense of purpose: viewing food as medicine and believing in the power of clean, healthy nourishment made with love. Our mission is to provide a smaller, clean kitchen environment where quality and organization are paramount, maintaining a perfect health inspection score of 100.
About the Role
We are seeking a responsible and reliable Line/Prep Cook who is a true "ninja" in the kitchen. This role exists to ensure the seamless preparation and presentation of our plant-based menu, from soups and curries to fresh juices and smoothies. You will be the guardian of our food quality, managing everything from batch prep and assembly to the timely expo of customer orders.
In this position, you will find joy in nourishing others. Your day will involve preparing and plating entrees with speed and finesse, prepping produce, and managing catering orders. Beyond the stove, you will be responsible for the overall atmosphere, ensuring the front counter, back kitchen, and customer seating areas remain sanitized, organized, and welcoming. You will also cross-train on the till, engaging in positive interactions with our community.
