The TiAmo Line Cook / Broiler is a vital part of our kitchen team, dedicated to the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality menu items. In this role, you will ensure that every dish meets our rigorous standards for food safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to maintain the consistency and excellence expected at TiAmo.
You will thrive in a fast-paced, potentially stressful environment where precision and teamwork are paramount. Your day will involve operating broiler and line stations, managing cooking temperatures and timing, and ensuring proper portion control and presentation. Beyond the cooking, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict sanitation and Health Department standards, and practicing safe knife handling and food storage procedures.
Collaboration is key; you will support seamless communication between front-of-house and back-of-house operations while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor with guests, team members, and vendors. Flexibility is essential, as you will be required to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, while tolerating environments with high noise levels, bright lights, and secondary smoke.
Selection for this position involves a practical audition. All selected candidates will be required to audition for the Executive Chef by preparing a meal for four, which must include an appetizer, a soup or salad, and a main entrée (no dessert). This assessment allows us to evaluate your culinary skills, station management, and ability to perform under pressure.
