The Life Accountant II serves as a key support member within the Farm Bureau Center, specifically dedicated to the Life Accounting functions for Farm Bureau Life Company of Michigan and Cincinnati Equitable Life Insurance Company. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
In this position, you will work closely with the Controller Division and the Life Accounting team. Your day-to-day involves assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reviewing daily account reconciliations, and managing journal entries. You will also play a supportive role in training staff, coordinating with internal and external auditors, and assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and reinsurance accounting analysis.
