About the Role
We are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician with specific equine experience to join our overnight team. This role exists to ensure the highest standard of care for horses admitted to our hospital, requiring a professional who can work confidently and independently. You will be the backbone of our overnight shift, responsible for caring for and monitoring patients, handling horses for treatments and procedures, and assisting in emergency work-ups.
In this position, you will utilize your skills in diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound, radiographs, and endoscopy. You will be comfortable placing IV catheters, assisting in surgery, drawing blood, running bloodwork, and operating various laboratory equipment. While experience in equine anesthesia is a plus, we offer future learning opportunities for those eager to advance their skills. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player who is compassionate toward our patients, clients, and staff, and is ready to continue their education.
