About the Role
Located in the Gonda Building within Clinical Dermatology, this Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role is designed to provide essential nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other assigned supervisor. You will accept delegation to meet the needs of patients and their families, collecting data through observation and communicating vital information to assist the care team in assessment and care planning.
As a member of the healthcare team, you will deliver care in accordance with patient care plans, organizational policies, and the principles of relationship-based care. This position involves excellent communication skills, mentoring, and instruction, with opportunities to participate in committees or quality improvement projects. The role includes cross-training in Surgical Dermatology, requiring frequent and prolonged standing during surgical procedures.
Hiring Process
Internal applicants should submit their three most recent performance appraisals. Prior to your start date, you must obtain a current LPN license by applicable state requirements and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
