Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital St. Louis is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the mission of restoring hope for every patient we serve. We specialize in inpatient rehabilitation for individuals recovering from strokes, brain or spinal-cord injuries, amputations, burns, orthopedic injuries, and other complex conditions. Our Treatment Team includes experienced Rehabilitation Nurses who provide excellent service and around-the-clock compassionate care. The hospital features 81 private patient rooms, a fully equipped therapy gym on every unit, an on-site dialysis suite, and a dedicated nursing assistant for each nursing team, creating an exceptional work environment focused on patient recovery and family support.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAssist the RN with admission and discharge processes
- check_circlePerform patient assessments and communicate changes promptly
- check_circleCollaborate with the RN to evaluate patient progress and document interventions
- check_circleReinforce patient and family education and document learning needs
- check_circleDelegate tasks to UAPs and ensure care is provided within their competencies
- check_circleServe as a preceptor for LPN students or new hires when needed
- check_circleConduct patient handoffs using safety tools like SBAR and bedside report
Requirements
- verifiedGraduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- verifiedCurrent LPN license in the state of practice
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- verifiedLPN-IV certification upon hire or within required timeframe
