Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

About the Role

This position is dedicated to administering individualized care that aligns with established plans of care and standards of practice. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will function independently within your area of practice while maintaining close collaboration with Registered Nurses. Your role involves administering medications, obtaining vital signs, drawing blood, performing EKGs, and providing hands-on nursing care, which may include some heavy lifting.

You will demonstrate clinical skills specific to the work area, including knowledge of normal growth and development. A key part of your day involves incorporating patient, family, and significant other teaching into routine care under the direction of the RN. You will adjust your work routine to meet changing unit and patient conditions, contribute to the planning and implementation of care, and foster a positive public relations environment with patients, families, and staff.

Maintaining a safe working environment is a priority, and you will be expected to report any changes in patient condition to the RN immediately. Hiring Process

Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain a license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State. While one year of post-licensure nursing experience and ambulatory experience are preferred, the primary focus is on your ability to deliver high-quality, individualized patient care.
