CN Guidance & Counseling Services inspires and catalyzes recovery for people living with mental health and substance use conditions through innovative, person-centered integrated clinical treatment, counseling, housing, and support services. As a 7-time recipient of the Newsday/Dan Papers Top Long Island Workplace award (2019–2025), every team at our agency plays a vital role in helping Long Islanders live healthy, fulfilling lives.
This specific role is dedicated to the CN Guidance NCTSI Grant, which aims to increase access to trauma- and grief-focused treatment for Long Island's most underserved children, adolescents, and their families. The mission is to address untreated or undertreated traumas within these communities, ensuring that vulnerable youth receive the specialized care they need.
You will serve as a licensed clinician delivering direct, culturally sensitive, and developmentally appropriate treatment to youth and families. Your work will extend beyond the clinic, providing face-to-face and collateral services in the community to ensure accessibility. The role involves a holistic approach, combining individual, group, and family counseling with assertive engagement, crisis intervention, and psychoeducation.
A significant portion of your day will be dedicated to the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) continuous quality improvement approach. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address systemic challenges, ensuring that services evolve to meet client needs effectively. You will also facilitate data sharing with clients to support partnered decision-making and keep them informed of their progress.
If you are inspired to use your vital energy to make a difference in your community, please apply via this advertisement. Alternatively, you may fax your resume to the HR Director, Carol Otero, at 516-396-0553.
