This is an on-campus, in-person position for a Library Clerk Senior within the Library & Learning Support Division. The role represents the entry level in a library support career ladder, serving as a vital link between the library's resources and the campus community.
The Orange Coast College Library mission is to support student success by providing a wide range of resources, from basic materials to in-depth research tools. As a Library Clerk Senior, you will support a Librarian or Library Media Technician in customer and technical service activities. You will be the face of the library for many students, faculty, and staff, guiding them through the collection, assisting with research, and ensuring the smooth operation of library services.
Your day will involve a blend of technical and interpersonal tasks. You will process incoming library materials, manage circulation, and maintain the collection's organization. You will also provide guidance to student employees and assist patrons in finding materials or navigating library systems.
