As a Liaison Engineer within the Structures Engineering team, you serve as the critical bridge between Kalitta Air's internal operations and external regulatory and manufacturing entities. This role exists to ensure the structural integrity and regulatory compliance of our fleet, managing the lifecycle of repairs, modifications, and maintenance documentation for aircraft and appliances.
You will be responsible for analyzing in-service defect data to develop corrective action plans and interfacing with FAA DER Engineers to support necessary repairs. Your work ensures that all engineering documentation is developed on schedule and that manufacturer manuals are kept accurate. Additionally, you will coordinate 24/7 technical support for Ground and Flight Operations, acting as the primary point of contact for MRO facilities, outside engineering departments, and regulatory agencies.
