About the Role

The Strategic Legal Practices litigation team is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Administrator to join our ranks. This role is vital to our operations, serving as the backbone for our attorneys and paralegals by managing the intricate logistics of court filings, service of process, and case file maintenance. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where your ability to work independently and manage strict deadlines directly impacts our ability to deliver results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circlePrepare, review, and file legal documents with state and federal courts
  • check_circleCoordinate and process court filing fees and payments through e-filing portals
  • check_circleHandle transfer of funds to courts for filing fees, sanctions, and court-ordered payments
  • check_circleCoordinate service of process and ensure compliance with applicable rules and deadlines
  • check_circleCalendar and monitor litigation deadlines, hearings, and court appearances
  • check_circleCoordinate and reserve hearing dates with courts and opposing counsel
  • check_circleMaintain organized and accurate case files and records
  • check_circleCommunicate professionally with court personnel, clients, and opposing counsel

Requirements

  • verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent
  • verifiedPrior experience in a law firm or litigation environment
  • verifiedFamiliarity with California state and federal court filing systems
  • verifiedProficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems

Prior experience in a law firm or litigation environment. Experience processing court payments and filing fee transfers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems. Bachelor's degree.
