Founded in 1861, North Central College is a selective, comprehensive liberal arts institution with approximately 3,000 students. The Department of Economics & Finance in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship invites applications for a full-time lecturer position to begin August 1, 2026. This role is designed to provide excellent instruction in undergraduate introductory economics and business statistics courses, carrying a teaching load of 24 credits per academic year. Additional courses may be assigned based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Beyond the classroom, the Lecturer will assess student work to provide detailed feedback aimed at improving content knowledge, critical thinking, and oral and written communication skills. The position involves mentoring undergraduate students through one-on-one and group interactions, as well as independent study opportunities. To maintain active engagement in the field and support AACSB accreditation, the Lecturer will attend relevant conferences and workshops, collaborate with department and School faculty to develop teaching and mentoring skills, and complete required campus-wide training.
