About the Department
The Department of Operations and Information Systems at the University of Utah's David Eccles School of Business seeks to fill two open-rank tenure-track faculty positions beginning July 1, 2026. We are looking for candidates with outstanding research potential and accomplishments. Successful candidates will be expected to produce high-quality research and teach effectively in the areas of Operations and Supply Chain.
We particularly encourage candidates publishing in top INFORMS journals to apply, as well as those publishing in the best outlets in affiliated fields who show strong potential to transition to business academia. Candidates at all levels of experience are welcome to apply.
About the School
Founded in 1917 on a rich tradition of business success and leadership, the David Eccles School of Business offers an experiential learning environment for students. The school provides learning opportunities across nine undergraduate majors, four MBA programs, eight other graduate programs, and a renowned executive education curriculum. Each year, more than 4,500 students engage in learning at the Eccles School.
The school is home to nine institutes and centers that deliver academic research and support an ecosystem of entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation in Utah. We are consistently ranked as one of the top schools in the nation for startup businesses based on university research.
