The Department of Entrepreneurship and Strategy at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah is a vibrant community of scholars dedicated to high-level research and teaching. Our current tenure-line faculty, including Jay Barney, Victor Bennett, and Todd Zenger, represent a diverse range of research interests within Strategy and Entrepreneurship. Our scholars publish in top-tier journals such as the Strategic Management Journal, American Economic Review, Management Science, and the Academy of Management Review.
The department is home to five institutes and centers, including the Lassonde Entrepreneurship Institute and the Goff Strategic Leadership Center, and recently launched a novel Master of Business Creation. We are committed to removing barriers for all individuals, particularly those from underrepresented groups, and strive to recruit faculty who will enhance our breadth while supporting their academic and personal success.
We are seeking applicants for faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank. These roles require high levels of scholarship, teaching, and collegiality. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or demonstrate that their doctoral dissertation will be substantially completed by August 1, 2026. These positions are subject to University funding and approval.
