The University of Hawai‘i, Kapi‘olani Community College (KapCC) Health Sciences Department is seeking a Lecturer in Radiologic Technology for its Maui campus. Based at Maui Memorial Hospital, this temporary, part-time role is designed to support the department's mission of training the next generation of healthcare professionals. The position is scheduled for placement into the lecturer pool beginning Summer 2026, subject to funding and staffing needs.
As a Lecturer, you will serve as a vital link between academic theory and clinical practice. Your primary focus will be designing, delivering, and assessing instruction that empowers students to achieve specific learning outcomes. The role demands a dynamic approach to teaching that addresses the diverse needs of the college's multicultural student body, integrating critical thinking and writing skills into the curriculum.
Day-to-day responsibilities extend beyond the classroom. You will be expected to maintain office hours for academic advising, engage in professional development, and contribute collegially to departmental service. The workload may include evening, weekend, and distance-education classes, as well as teaching at off-campus sites, reflecting the flexible and community-oriented nature of the program.
