Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOversee scheduling and completion of staff observations, including creating and implementing assessment rubrics
- check_circleAssist with training of Supplemental Instruction Leaders and Coordinators, and develop training materials
- check_circleManage administrative tasks including staff task tracking, timekeeping, Canvas updates, and content library organization
- check_circleAssist with projects designed to foster community, such as student recognition, workshops, and events
- check_circleAssist with supervision of staff, including onboarding, professional development, and coaching conversations
- check_circleAssist with recruiting and hiring efforts, including conducting interviews for new staff
- check_circleFacilitate focus groups and deliver Learning Commons presentations as needed
- check_circleCollaborate with supervisors and provide regular work updates during scheduled meetings
Requirements
- verifiedMust be registered for at least twelve graduate credit hours each quarter
- verifiedMust be in good standing with degree program (e.g., 3.0+ GPA)
- verifiedProficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom, and MS Teams

Nice to Have
Background in biology, chemistry, physics, medical sciences, or political science field. Understanding of active learning and high impact practices in education. Understanding of academic support programs. Interest and awareness of issues in higher education, including retention and degree completion, student development theory, and campus engagement. Past experience working in the Learning Commons or other student support services.
