The Chief of Staff serves as the operational and clinical anchor of the hospital, dedicated to managing the facility while ensuring the highest quality of veterinary care. This role is unique in its dual focus: approximately 70-80% of the time is spent practicing veterinary medicine, while the remaining 20-30% is dedicated to leadership, team development, and hospital management. The position advocates for pets and their quality of life, fostering long-term bonds between clients and their animals while educating both the team and the community on pet health.
Working in partnership with the Practice Manager, the Chief of Staff operates as a role model and champion of the Banfield brand. The goal is to create a safe, engaging, and efficient hospital environment that maximizes productivity and profitability without compromising the standard of care. This leader acts as a bridge between associates, clients, field leadership, and central support, ensuring seamless communication and a collaborative culture.
