About the Role
Wood is currently recruiting a Lead Technician to join our team based out of Upton, Wyoming, near Gillette. This Shift Lead position is a hands-on, working lead role responsible for the day-to-day coordination of a shift crew and the operation of controls at the Upton Demonstration Plant.
Under the direct guidance of RER management and project consultants, this role ensures that all automated and manual systems are operated strictly in accordance with established protocols. You will be responsible for running plant controls and directing Technicians while actively performing the same manual labor, piping construction, and sampling tasks as the crew. If your leadership style is pointing rather than leading, this position is not for you. Success in this role requires a leader who can manage a complex industrial startup environment with logical thinking and common sense, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
