The Facility Manager is the heartbeat of our operations in North Carolina, responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of a facility that receives, processes, bagges, and sells organic materials. This role is not just about maintaining operations; it is about stewarding a profitable business while upholding our core values. You will oversee a diverse team of managers, supervisors, operators, and drivers, ensuring safe and efficient workflows that comply with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
In this position, you will partner closely with the General Manager and leadership team to drive continuous improvement and deliver high-quality products to our customers. Your day will involve developing and implementing a facility operation strategy that balances cost management with financial performance, fostering collaboration across operations, maintenance, logistics, and sales, and representing Denali with integrity to customers, regulators, and the local community. 5+ years in Composting Operations Management, Agriculture, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline; Certified Compost Operations Manager (CCOM) or Certified Composting Professional (CCM) certification; Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certification; Familiarity with composting and bagging equipment (wheel loaders, grinders, screeners, heavy trucks, automated bagging/mixing/stacking equipment); Bilingual fluency (English & Spanish); Experience in a manufacturing environment; Experience with trucking and delivery logistics.
