As a Lead Substation Engineer, you will directly apply your expertise in protective relaying and controls systems for HV and EHV substations. This role is designed for an experienced professional ready to guide design efforts, mentor junior engineers, and solve complex engineering challenges. You will serve as a key liaison between the firm and clients, ensuring complete and timely designs while driving the adoption of modern tools and automation to improve workflows and reduce rework.
The position involves a dynamic mix of independent analysis, collaborative design reviews, and field verification. You will prepare relaying philosophies, develop SCADA concepts, and oversee the creation of detailed design documents. A significant part of your day will involve mentoring less experienced engineers and fostering a culture of peer-learning through Sargent & Lundy's "Communities of Practice."
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with an expectation of spending three days a week in the office and two days remotely. Depending on your location, a generous relocation package is available. Please note that this position does not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S.
