Key Responsibilities
- check_circleInspect, maintain, and repair data center systems including servers, network equipment, and PLCs
- check_circleOperate and respond to abnormal conditions to minimize recovery time from failures
- check_circleSupport startup, commissioning, and integration of new controls equipment into infrastructure
- check_circleConduct tours of systems and provide daily assistance to technicians
- check_circleControl, monitor, log, and manage alarming systems for data center facilities
- check_circleManage supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems and alarm investigations
- check_circleRead blueprints, schematics, ladder logic, and sequence of operations to assess system status
Requirements
- verifiedAssociate's degree, trade school certification, or certified training in related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- verified5 years of experience in Controls/Automation in industrial or commercial environment
- verifiedExperience with Control Panels, Controllers, Electrical Safety, Electrical Systems, PLC, Networking Equipment
- verifiedAbility to lift, carry or move up to 50 lbs
- verifiedAbility to work non-standard hours and differing work rotations/shifts
- verifiedNot eligible for U.S. immigration sponsorship
- verifiedProficiency in scripting language
- verifiedKnowledge of meters, devices, sensors, relays and troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, digital metering, or calibration/diagnostic equipment
Nice to Have
Industry standard certifications related to system administration (e.g., CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Certified Windows or Linux system administrator). 5 years of experience in controls/automation, or construction/technical environment or a related field. Experience in data centers, hospitals, power plants, or laboratories. Proficiency in scripting language. Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, relays and troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, digital metering, or calibration/diagnostic equipment. Ability to communicate with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on the data center systems.
