As a Lead Respiratory Therapist at HCA Florida Osceola Hospital, you will provide shift supervision and monitor day-to-day assessment, treatment, and services within the Respiratory department. You will develop and implement Respiratory Care Plans based on Clinical Practice Guidelines, acting as a resource person for staff members and fostering teamwork to achieve departmental goals.
In this role, you will manage mechanical ventilators and monitoring devices for patients requiring ventilation support, including during emergency and special procedures. You will communicate clearly with patients and families, explaining care in an easily understood manner while interacting with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs. You will also assist the Director in maintaining budgets, acquiring capital equipment, and investigating corrective actions, all while promoting a professional image and demonstrating service excellence principles.
HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is a 404-bed tertiary care hospital accredited by the Joint Commission and serving as a Level II Trauma Center. We are a teaching hospital in collaboration with the UCF College of Medicine, conveniently located in the Heart of Kissimmee, just minutes from Orlando, St. Cloud, Celebration, and Poinciana.
