The Infrastructure GBU's Renewables & Clean Power business line is driving the development of future combined cycle power plant projects. We are assembling a specialized proposal team based in Reston, VA, with the mission to deliver high-quality engineering and construction solutions for clean energy initiatives. Upon successful project award, the selected candidate will mobilize to the project site to lead field operations.
The Construction Lead Mechanical Field Engineer serves as the pivotal link between engineering design and on-site construction execution within the piping discipline. This role is designed to ensure the seamless integration of mechanical systems, including rotating equipment, tanks, vessels, and HRSGs, into the broader project framework.
In this position, you will direct the mechanical field engineering team, interpreting complex design drawings and specifications to guide installation and fabrication. Your day-to-day involves coordinating constructability with engineering teams, managing modularization efforts, and overseeing the planning of design and procurement sequences. You will also validate material deliveries, manage cost estimates, and administer subcontract changes, ensuring that all mechanical activities align with project controls and safety standards.
