About the Role
The Lead Clinical Informatics Specialist serves as a vital bridge between clinical teams and information technology. In this leadership role, you will guide the Clinical Informatics Team, support clinical staff, and optimize healthcare technology systems to enhance patient care and workflow efficiency. You will act as a key liaison, ensuring the effective use, adoption, and optimization of clinical systems and electronic health records (EHR) within the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide leadership and daily oversight of the Clinical Informatics Team
- check_circleServe as liaison between clinical staff and IT to improve workflows
- check_circleSupport optimization of Meditech EHR workflows and performance metrics
- check_circleCoordinate clinical system onboarding and develop EHR training for providers
- check_circleAct as primary escalation point for EHR and clinical system issues
- check_circleManage system configuration, user setup, and application support within the EHR
- check_circleLead implementation, testing, and maintenance of Meditech projects and enhancements
- check_circleCoordinate go-lives, downtime events, and after-hours support as needed
- check_circleOversee helpdesk functions and assist Core IT staff with complex issues
- check_circleManage e-prescribing setup through Dr. First and Meditech
- check_circleSupport integration and interfacing of clinical systems into the EHR
- check_circleEnsure compliance with HIPAA, corporate compliance policies, and hospital procedures
Requirements
- verifiedLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) required
- verifiedMinimum of 3 years of Meditech experience required
- verifiedClinical Informatics experience within a healthcare system required
