About the Role
As a Clinical Informatics Specialist, you will serve as the vital liaison between our clinical staff and IT department. This role exists to optimize our Electronic Health Records (EHR) and related clinical systems, directly impacting workflows, data quality, and patient safety. You will collaborate closely with nurses, providers, and IT professionals to implement practical solutions that drive quality improvement and innovation in rural healthcare.
Your day-to-day involves configuring and maintaining clinical applications, building order sets and decision support tools, and developing reports that inform operational initiatives. You will also be responsible for delivering training, troubleshooting issues, and documenting processes to ensure seamless user adoption. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for rural healthcare who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- verifiedRegistered Nurse (RN) or clinical license preferred
- verifiedCPHIMS certification preferred
- verifiedExperience with major EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech)
- verifiedTraining in health informatics or clinical informatics
- verifiedKnowledge of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, LOINC, SNOMED)
- verifiedSQL or basic data query tools
- verifiedKnowledge of HIPAA privacy and security regulations
Nice to Have
Registered Nurse (RN) or clinical license. Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).
