About the Role
As an Orthodontist with Benevis Dental, you will provide comprehensive orthodontic diagnosis and treatment to patients of all ages, helping improve function, aesthetics, and overall oral health in the communities we serve. You will work in a busy, multi-chair clinical environment, independently evaluating new and existing patients to develop individualized treatment plans using fixed appliances, removable appliances, and clear aligner therapy.
Your day will involve interpreting cephalometric and panoramic radiographs, managing digital impressions, and overseeing the placement and adjustment of orthodontic appliances. Beyond clinical duties, patient and parent communication is a core part of your daily work. You will explain diagnoses and treatment options in clear, compassionate language, manage expectations regarding treatment duration, and support patient retention through excellent chairside manner and consistent, high-quality results.
This position offers the opportunity to practice in a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment that values professional growth. You will collaborate closely with general dentists, hygienists, and specialty providers across the Benevis network to coordinate comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform comprehensive orthodontic examinations including review of medical histories, radiographs, and diagnostic records
- check_circleDevelop and present individualized treatment plans using fixed appliances, removable appliances, and clear aligner systems
- check_circlePlace, adjust, and remove orthodontic appliances while monitoring treatment progress and making necessary modifications
- check_circleInterpret cephalometric and panoramic radiographs and digital scans to support accurate diagnosis and case documentation
- check_circleCollaborate with general dentists, hygienists, and specialists to coordinate comprehensive interdisciplinary care
- check_circleMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and treatment notes in the electronic health record system
- check_circleEnsure strict adherence to infection control protocols, OSHA standards, and all applicable state and federal regulations
- check_circleParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocol development, and continuing education activities
- check_circleMentor clinical team members on orthodontic techniques and contribute to staff training related to orthodontic workflows
- check_circleEducate patients and parents on diagnoses, treatment options, oral hygiene, and expected treatment timelines
Requirements
- verifiedDDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
- verifiedCompleted CODA-accredited orthodontic residency program
- verifiedActive and unrestricted state dental license (or eligibility)
- verifiedBoard certification or board eligibility in Orthodontics (ABO preferred)
- verifiedCurrent BLS/CPR certification
- verifiedDEA registration as required by state regulations
