About the Role
The Banquet Manager leads our banquets and catering services teams in hosting the highest quality event experiences for our guests. This role is central to the accurate and timely execution of food & beverage service, room sets, room flips, and room refreshes for our group and conference guests. Beyond operations, the position drives strategy around daily events, ensuring precise reporting and billing while fostering a culture of teamwork and proactive problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleManage the execution of the daily event agenda as detailed in Banquet Event Orders
- check_circlePromote teamwork by anticipating, preventing, and solving problems for staff and guests
- check_circleOversee food and beverage service, room sets, flips, and refreshes for group events
- check_circleConduct client communications including event status updates and bill reviews
- check_circleLead daily stand-ups and attend mandatory banquet and leadership trainings
- check_circleEnsure adherence to Vail Resorts presentation standards and safe work habits
- check_circleHandle all opening and closing duties required for banquet operations
- check_circleMaintain organization, stock levels, cleanliness, and effectiveness of banquet spaces and storage areas
Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience
- verifiedMinimum of 2 year experience in banquets and/or conference services
- verifiedMust be able to read, write, speak, understand and comprehend English fluently
- verifiedMust be TIPS certified or able to become TIPS certified within 30 days of hire
- verifiedMust be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours at a time
- verifiedMust be able to work weekends, holidays and evenings
- verifiedMinimum Age: At least 18 years of age
Nice to Have
Minimum of 2 years experience in banquets and/or conference services. In-person interviews.
