About the Role
The Paw Paw Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Custodian to support the Later Elementary campus. Reporting to the Director of Facilities and the Custodial Supervisor, this Full-Time, Non-Exempt position operates on the Second Shift. The role is vital to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and the visiting public.
In this position, you will work effectively within a team atmosphere to perform cleaning duties in an efficient and effective manner. You will be responsible for scheduling your time to complete all necessary cleaning in your designated area without direct supervision. Beyond interior maintenance, the role includes assisting with seasonal grounds work, such as snow removal, lawn care, and landscaping beds.
You will serve as a point of contact for the community, maintaining excellent rapport with the public, staff, and students. This includes assisting visitors with directions within the building and helping them obtain and set up necessary equipment. You will also be expected to maintain building and grounds security each school day, identify and report uncleaned areas or safety concerns, and restock disposable items while tracking inventory usage.
