The Land Development Manager serves as a pivotal leader within the Division, responsible for managing the entire land development program. This role is designed to bridge the gap between planning and execution, ensuring the successful and timely delivery of new projects. You will direct a wide array of activities including roadway construction, water and sewer installation, earthwork, landscape, irrigation, vertical construction, and public utility coordination.
In this position, you will work closely with Area Construction Managers and the Director of Construction to deliver completed, ready-to-build home sites. Your day-to-day involves overseeing projects from permit approvals through construction, recording plats, final certification, and community turnover. You will also manage field operations related to erosion control, grading, utilities, paving, sidewalks, and amenities, while maintaining strong working relationships with jurisdictional entities to protect land use and development rights. Additionally, you will play a key role in HOA management, budget analysis, and the maintenance of bonds and guaranties.
